Feeding Guidelines
Would you like to give the sausages as a meal? That’s fine, as they are enriched with minerals and vitamins.
The guideline for daily amount is calculated by taking 30 grams per kg of body weight. For example, a dog weighing 20 kg may have 600 grams per day.
- NORMAL: 30 grams per kg of body weight per day
- PUPPY: up to 6 months: 40 grams per kg bodyweight per day
- STERILIZED / OVERWEIGHT: 20 grams per kg of body weight per day
The Herbafix Sausage is ideal to combine with Herbafix cold pressed food. A half-day portion of Herbafix kibble in the morning and a half-day portion of sausage in the evening. In this example, a normal dog of 20 kg, receives 300 grams of Duck (50% x 600g) and 135 grams of HerbaFix dog food (50% x 270 grams).
ANALYTICAL COMPONENTS: Crude protein: 14.5%, Crude fat : 12.8%, Crude Ash: 5.3%, Moisture: 55%
COMPOSITION: Duck 95% (65% meat, 25% organs, 10% carcass or bone), Vitamin ADE: 2%, Seaweed 1.5%, Potato Starch 1.5%
Storage: Once open, the Herbafix sausage keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days, excess can be frozen and defrosted when needed

This sausage is a great training aid for Showing, Obedience or Rally-O. It’s soft and very tasty – I haven’t tried it myself but my two ‘hairballs’ confirm that this is the case. Yet it doesn’t leave a slime on your hands (or in your pocket) when you break it up … which is important if you’re in the show ring wearing your Sunday best.
